Founded in 1608 by French Explorer, Samuel de Champlain, the city of Quebec is still bounded by fortifications dating to the 17th century. Explore Old Town Quebec. Lower Town features the Quartier Petit Champlain, a 1688 stone church, Place Royale square and charming boutiques on Rue du Petit Champlain. Upper Town features the grand castle-like Fairmont Le Château Frontenac Hotel prominent along the bluffs of the St. Lawrence River. Enjoy a guided Quebec City tour as well as plenty of free time to explore on your own. Our journey takes us along the magnificent St. Lawrence River and the Laurentian Mountains deep into the beautiful Charlevoix region of Quebec – the land of water, mountains and forests. Spend 2 nights in luxury at the historic 5-Star Fairmont Le Manoir Richelieu hotel. Perched above the St. Lawrence River, this luxury hotel was built in this dramatic setting in 1929. Enjoy unlimited entertainment at the Casino de Charlevoix next door! A highlight of the region is the Saguenay/St. Lawrence Marine Park.
