Located on a small island in the Ohio River, Blennerhassett Island Historical State Park features a Palladian mansion on the island and a museum of regional history located in Parkersburg, WV. This unique state park is visited by over 40,000 people each year and is accessed by sailing across the river on an authentic sternwheeler riverboat. Once on the island, enjoy a tour of the 1789 mansion and a horse-drawn carriage ride around the beautiful grounds. You will even learn about the ties the island has to Aaron Burr’s military conspiracy dating back to 1805.
