Shenandoah Fall Foliage

A Hub and Spoke Tour! You will love spending 4 nights at one central “hub” at historic Hotel 24 South. Built in 1924 and listed on the Register of Historic Hotels of America, it is located in the center of downtown Staunton, VA – the perfect base from which to explore Virginia’s Shenandoah Valley and the Blue Ridge Mountains. Each day, our motorcoach sets out from our “hub” on a different “spoke” to tour into surrounding areas during the beautiful fall season.

Outer Banks

This tour is a Daniel’s favorite! Enjoy a 3-night stay at an oceanfront hotel in Kittyhawk, NC and explore the barrier islands known as the Outer Banks (OBX). See historic lighthouses including Currituck Beach Light station and Bodie Island Lighthouse. One of the most unique experiences on the Outer Banks is a ride on a 4×4 Hummer to see the Wild Spanish Mustangs as they roam free along the beach near Corolla – the natural habitat they have occupied for centuries. Explore along the pristine Cape Hatteras National Seashore ending at Cape Hatteras Lighthouse, the tallest in the U.S.  Visit Kitty Hawk and the Wright Monument at Kill Devil Hills. During your visit you can walk to the First Flight Boulder and Flight Line which mark the location where the Wright Brothers first flew.  It is amazing to stand at that very spot!  Visit the Elizabethan Gardens and learn about The Lost Colony – one of America’s oldest unsolved mysteries – what happened to the early settlers that vanished nearly 450 years ago? Visit Roanoke Island Festival Park where you will see costumed interpreters throughout the replica of England’s first settlement in the New World. Climb aboard the Elizabeth II, a 69-foot sailing vessel representative of those which sailed to the New World in 1585. There is so much history and so much beauty on the Outer Banks, and some of the best fresh seafood you will find! We know the best places to eat, and we will tell you all about the rich history as we explore the Outer Banks. The first and last nights are spent in Rocky Mount, NC and 3 nights are spent on the Outer Banks in a lovely oceanfront hotel. Key West

Join Daniel’s as we explore the string of beautiful tropical islands stretching 120 miles off the southern tip of Florida…THE KEYS! Cruise from Ft. Historic Charleston & Savannah

Experience the southern hospitality and charm of two special southern destinations. Enjoy a carriage tour of historic Charleston, a tour of Magnolia Gardens and Manor House, established in 1676.  It is one of the oldest plantations in the south, and the Gardens have been named “One of America’s Most Beautiful Gardens”.  The Citadel – The Military College of South Carolina is a landmark in Charleston and is noted for its educational reputation and rich history.  Meet a Cadet on our guided tour!  Ferry across Charleston Harbor to visit Fort Sumpter – site of the first shots fired in the American Civil War.  The Charleston Tea Garden is the only tea garden in North America where you can see hundreds of thousands of tea bushes stretching out acre after acre for almost as far as the eye can see. Enjoy a trolley ride along the property and lunch on the beautiful grounds.   Learn about one of the largest historic districts in America on a guided trolley tour of Savannah with its cobblestoned squares and manicured parks shaded by oak trees covered with Spanish moss. Wild & Wonderful West Virginia

West Virginia is beautiful anytime of the year, but especially in the Fall! You will love this Hub & Spoke Tour with a 3-night stay in cozy accommodations at an elegant lakeside lodge at Stonewall Resort State Park with wonderful breakfasts and dinners.  From our lakeside hub, we will spoke out on new adventures throughout West Virginia each day!  All aboard for a daytime rail excursion on the New Tygart Flyer in Elkins, WV!  This wilderness excursion features mountain grades, an “S” curve tunnel, a high bridge and miles of unspoiled mountain views. Vintage diesel-powered locomotives climb along the cascading Shavers Fork of the Cheat River to the High Falls of Cheat, an 18′ high, 150′ wide waterfall. Enjoy the view aboard a comfortable, climate-controlled passenger train car.  The New River carves a deep gorge through southern West Virginia.  The New River Gorge Bridge is the longest steel span in the western hemisphere, the third highest bridge in the United States, and it is one of the most photographed places in West Virginia…so we will go see it and take photos too!  When we think of WV, we think of coal mines.  We will visit a recreated coal camp at Beckley Exhibition Coal Mine. Experience what the early working days of mining were like on a tour into a vintage coal mine with a veteran miner as your Guide.  Located on a small island in the Ohio River, Blennerhassett Island Historical State Park features a Palladian mansion on the island and a museum of regional history located in Parkersburg, WV. This unique state park is visited by over 40,000 people each year and is accessed by sailing across the river on an authentic sternwheeler riverboat.  Once on the island, enjoy a tour of the 1789 mansion and a horse-drawn carriage ride around the beautiful grounds.  You will even learn about the ties the island has to Aaron Burr’s military conspiracy dating back to 1805.  Enjoy a great family variety show at the Gandy Dancer Dinner Theater in Elkins, WV, visit the Tamarack Artisan Village and see unique works of art and handcrafted items by local WV artist.  Includes 11 meals (4 Breakfasts, 2 Lunches, 4 Dinners)
