DAY TRIP – Cirque Du Soleil – LUZIA

Poetically guided by light and rain, LUZIA chronicles the encounters of a parachuted traveler with the culture, nature, and mythology of a dreamlike land inhabited by a mystifying menagerie of characters. Refreshing and unexpected, LUZIA enchants by artistically incorporating water into the acrobatic presentation – a first for a Cirque du Soleil touring production.  In a series of grand visual surprises and breathtaking acrobatic performances, LUZIA takes audiences on a surreal escape to an imaginary Mexico – a sumptuously vibrant world suspended between dreams and reality.  Smoothly passing from an old movie set to the ocean to a smoky dance hall or an arid desert, LUZIA journeys through a colorful tapestry of multiple places, faces, and sounds of Mexico taken from both tradition and modernity.  Join Daniel’s on this Day Trip to Atlanta to see this magnificent show under the Big Top at Atlantic Station.  Lunch will be included as we dine together at Carrabba’s Italian Grill on the way to the Big Top.

The price of the Day Trip includes roundtrip motorcoach transportation from the Daniel’s Depot in Lula, GA, show ticket, and lunch.  Day Trips are non-refundable.

In late September, in Grandad’s pumpkin patch, you will find pumpkins and jack-o’lanterns in every size and shape. At Grandad’s Barn and Country Store, you will find a great selection of fall harvest decorations, apple peelers, apple bakers, and other apple gifts. At their bakery, they offer hot cider donuts all day along with apple pies, cookies, hot cider, apple cider slushies, and many other apple goodies to eat! Stepp’s Hillcrest Orchard is a family-owned and operated farm and a family-favorite fall destination since they became one of the area’s first pick-your-own farms in 1969.  Enjoy a wagon ride through the Orchards!  Early fall offers u-pick apples and grapes alongside sunflowers and zinnias.  You have the option to explore the flower fields, and after you’ve found your perfect sunflowers and zinnias, snip your selections and fill your take-home bucket. The vibrant blooms will create a breathtaking floral arrangement to brighten your home or a heartfelt gift for a loved one. The flower fields make beautiful backdrops for photos too. We’ll enjoy a Taste of Southern Hospitality with an included lunch at the Moose Cafe.  It opened 25 years ago in the Western North Carolina Farmers Market with the mission to serve southern comfort food prepared using ingredients found at the farmer’s market.
