Join Daniel’s as we Discover Washington and Oregon on this flyout tour to the Pacific Northwest – one of the most beautiful regions in the United States – famous for its clean air and water, snow-capped mountains, dramatic coastline and relaxed, quiet beach towns.  Embark on an adventure to take in the breathtaking alpine scenery of Mt. Rainier National Park.  An active volcano, Mount Rainier is the most glaciated peak in the contiguous U.S.A.!  Experience the remarkable diversity of Washington’s landscapes on display on Washington’s Olympic Peninsula on our visit to Olympic National Park before making the journey along the spectacular coast of Oregon. Enjoy an overnight stay along the shore of Ocean Shores, WA, visit Astoria, the historic port town at the mouth of the Columbia River and explore the engaging Columbia River Maritime Museum.  Drive the Pacific Coast Highway along the Oregon coastline where we come upon the windswept cliffs of Ecola State Park for iconic views of Cannon Beach and Haystack Rock – the 235 ft tall sea stack that is one of Oregon’s most famous landmarks.  Further south, the Tillamook Cheese Factory and Creamery offers a delicious detour, before heading to the vibrant harbor of Newport for a two-night stay just steps from the beach in your Pacific View Room.  See the panoramic ocean view and watch seabirds nest on rugged rocks at  Yaquina Head Lighthouse built in 1871.  Wind-sculpted towering Sand Dunes are the prominent landscape in Florence, OR, where we will take an exhilarating dune ride that is sure to be an adventure!  Visit Sea Lion Caves, America’s largest sea cave and the year-round home of the Steller sea lion.  We head inland to breathtaking Crater Lake National Park with a visit to the Rim Visitor Center for stunning vistas of the deep blue volcanic lake. Fed by rain and snow, it’s the deepest lake in the USA and one of the most pristine on Earth! In Grant’s Pass, OR we embark on a narrated Hellgate Jet Boat Excursion on the wild and scenic Rogue River surrounded by native wildlife, breathtaking views, and dramatic canyons.  A tour highlight includes a scenic drive along the Columbia River Gorge, a spectacular river canyon that cuts the only sea-level route through the Cascade Mountain Range. See the majestic 611 ft. Multnomah Falls, one of the tallest year-round waterfalls in the United States, and take in sweeping 360 degree views over the Gorge from the historic Vista House at Crown Point. Visit Fort Vancouver National Historic Site located on the north bank of the Columbia River – est. 1825 as a fur trading post and later as a US Army Barrack, the living history site played a critical role in westward expansion & regional trade.  Other tour highlights include a visit to the International Rose Test Garden dazzled with its vibrant blooms, the Northwest Trek Wildlife Park with native animals roaming spacious habitats, a Lavender Farm offering a fragrant and picturesque experience, and Seattle’s Museum of Flight at Boeing Field – the largest independent, non-profit air and space museum in the world with over 175 aircraft and spacecraft!

Travel through Idaho as we make our way from the American Northwest to the Southwest and the great state of Utah.  Learn about its founder, Brigham Young, and visit the shores and unique landscape of the Great Salt Lake near Salt Lake City.  Visit downtown Moab, UT with its vibrant downtown and surrounding red-rock formations.  Explore Arches National Park, home to over 2,000 natural sandstone arches, including the world-famous Delicate Arch.  Drive through the Colorado Rockies between Grand Junction, CO and Denver reaching an elevation of 10,662 ft. over Vail Pass, with a stop in the exclusive skiing town of Vail. Other places we will visit along the way include the St. Louis Arch, Sioux Falls, SD and Omaha, NE and so much more! Mackinac Island

Mackinac Island sits in Lake Huron, between Michigan’s Upper and Lower peninsulas. Motorized vehicles are not allowed on the island, so we park our Motorcoach on the mainland and travel by ferry to the island. Horse and carriage then become our mode of transportation during our 2-night stay at the beautiful historic lakefront hotel, The Island House, built in the mid-19th century. The island is also known for its abundance of lilac trees. See and smell the lilacs in bloom during the 77th Annual Lilac Festival!
