MOTORCOACH TOUR Featuring 2-Nights at the Grand Hotel at Mackinac Island, Lake Michigan Sand Dunes Buggy Ride & The Henry Ford Museum
Slow time and spend time, in the relaxed atmosphere of Mackinac Island, voted “Best Island in the Continental U.S.” at the Travel + Leisure World’s Best Awards. New for 2027… enjoy a 2-night stay at the famous Grand Hotel, where past meets the present. Mackinac Island sits in Lake Huron, between Michigan’s Upper and Lower peninsulas. Motorized vehicles are not allowed on the island, so we park our Motorcoach on the mainland and travel by ferry to the island. Horse and carriage then become our mode of transportation. Since 1887, Grand Hotel beckons guests to a time where old-world meets new charm. Staying here is an experience you will never forget, from the tradition of the Grand Buffet Lunch, Afternoon Tea in the Parlor, dressing up for dinner, nightly dancing to the sounds of a live orchestra, and sitting in a rocking chair on the world’s longest porch overlooking the Straits of Mackinac. You will become immersed in the romance of it all and see why the movie “Somewhere in Time” was filmed here. The island is known for its abundance of lilac trees that bloom in June. See and smell the lilacs in bloom during the 78th Annual Lilac Festival! Enjoy a horse drawn carriage tour of the island, stroll the quaint downtown famous for its fine fudge, enjoy a slower pace on the island as you sit on the hotel’s massive front porch and enjoy its rich amenities. Ride a bike around the island or take a short stroll into town to visit one of the many shops and restaurants. So much more is also included in this tour as we circle Michigan! Visit Sault St. Marie and sail through the Soo Locks to Lake Superior; visit charming Charlevoix, located on the shore of Lake Michigan, take an exciting dune buggy ride on the Lake Michigan Sand Dunes – you will not believe how massive these dunes are! A tour highlight includes a visit to the fascinating Henry Ford Museum and Greenfield Village where you can explore a fascinating collection of authentic artifacts and stories of America’s ingenuity and innovation. Visit the Ford Rouge Plant where the F-150’s are made. A visit to Frankenmuth Bavarian Village and Bronner Christmas Wonderland adds to the fun. This trip is a favorite for those who experience it! Includes 16 Meals (9 Breakfasts, 2 Lunches, 5 Dinners). This one sells out fast, so don’t miss out on this Top Daniel’s Tour!
